Frequently asked questions

No ATOL licence is needed to open a Group account with Lime.

British Airways define group sizes as follows:

  • 10 or more passengers in economy
  • 7 or more passengers in premium economy and business
  • 4 or more passengers in First

You can book as many group seats as availability will allow. Our Groups system will accept bookings up to 98 passengers, for larger parties simply contact the Groups customer support team.

£25 per passenger or 20% of the total Group nett fare, whichever is greater.

Deposit deadlines are determined by booking creation date, outlined as follows:

  • More than 12 weeks prior to departure – deposit due 28 days from Booking Confirmation
  • Between 12 and 8 weeks prior to departure – deposit due 7 days from Booking Confirmation
  • Within 8 weeks prior to departure - full balance payment at time of booking (unless otherwise stated)

The Balance Due Date is 6 weeks prior to departure, or immediately if the booking has been made within 8 weeks of departure.

The group size can be reduced without charge after deposits have been paid and before Full Commitment Date by up to 20% provided the minimum group size is still adhered to. The deposits paid will be transferred against the remaining seats to form part of the Balance Payment.

If the group size is reduced by more than 20% at Full Commitment Date, then deposits will be lost for all returned seats.

Full cancellation charges will apply if the booking size is reduced after Full Commitment Date.

Amendments such as changing the flight (dates, destination and upgrades) and reducing the group size can be requested online through the booking system. Name changes can be made online prior to ticketing. After ticketing, changes will need to be requested and are subject to charges. Please refer to the Groups Terms and Conditions for any charges relating to amendments.

Names are not required until 7 days prior to departure.

Block seating can be requested via the Groups booking system once the booking has been confirmed and will be assigned 7 days prior to departure. Seats will need to be selected before 36 hours prior to departure, after which time the system will automatically seat the group in alpabetical order by surname.
