New Saint Lucia (UVF) airline taxes have been introduced and will take effect on travel from 1 April 2017 for travel on/after 1 January 2018. Anything booked or ticketed on or after 15 March 2017 for travel after that time will incur this new tax.

The tax comprises a reinstatement of $35USD airport development tax and an increase in the airport departure tax of $38USD, resulting in a total increase of $73USD.

This new charge at $35 must be collecte and shown on all tickets with travel on/after 1 January 2018.

To clarify
  • Bookings created and ticketed before 15 March will not be affected
  • Bookings created and ticketed from 15 March, travelling before 1 April will not be affected
  • Bookings created and ticketed from 15 March, traveling on or after 1 April will incur the tax increase

The tax will be collected by British Airways and will form part of the overall ticket price.
