Summer 2018 schedule will include direct services to three brand new destinations, all ideal for customers looking to book their next sun-soaked shorthaul escape from London Heathrow.

Kefalonia, Greece (EFL) - launching 15 May

British Airways’ new services between London Heathrow and Kefalonia will operate twice weekly from May to October 2018.

Flights will depart at 11:55 on Tuesdays and 08:00 on Saturdays.

The island of Kefalonia, situated south of Corfu, is the location of  Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, a popular film and book by Louis de Berniere.  This stunning island boasts some of Greece’s best beaches, including Myrtos beach, one of the world’s most photographed stretches of sand. The island is easy to explore by car, with historic castles, monasteries and vineyards waiting  to be discovered. With the addition of the new Kefalonia service, British Airways now fly to eight destinations in Greece.

Figari, Corsica (FSC) - launching 27 May 2018

Flights between London Heathrow Terminal 5 and Figari will depart every Sunday at 12:05 from May to October 2018.

The perfect sunny getaway, Corsica is a quieter alternative to the more popular destinations of France and Italy, but no less beautiful. Located north of Sardinia, the island is renowned for pristine beaches and fortified coastal towns, as well as magnificent mountain ranges peppered with forested valleys and hilltop villages.

 

Almeria, Spain (LEI) - launching 27 March 2018

British Airways’ new service from London Heathrow to Almeria will depart twice a week between March and October 2018. The capital of the Andalusia province in Spain, Alermia is located on the country’s southeast coast. It boasts a stunning coastline with picture-perfect beaches and a palm tree-lined seaside promenade that is perfect for relaxed strolls. Also waiting to be explored is a medieval fortress, cathedral and ancient castle ruin, as well as the breath-taking Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park.

 

Summer 2018 schedules

British Airways will be increasing their services to existing destinations Basel, Berlin, Inverness, Malaga, Nantes, Olbia, Pisa, Reykjavik and Warsaw from London. Routes to Palma and Tenerife will continue to operate throughout  Summer 2018.
