British Airways have recently launched a new training platform on their website to inform and update employees about the more specific details of the airline. The training academy includes programmes covering their cabins, loyalty schemes, updates about their partners and provides you with guidance about their policies. With all of these in mind, the aim of the training is to improve your knowledge and increase your confidence when selling the product.

As a new staff member of Lime, my first day consisted of researching British Airways and getting to know how we work with them and their products. This training programme was one of the first tasks I completed, and it was a huge help in easing me into gaining knowledge and understanding about British Airways and what they offer to their customers. Short, simple and easy to navigate, the training was a great activity to introduce me to the business but also beneficial to how I can apply what I had learnt into my work with Lime.

Despite coming from a travel background, I was unaware of all the different travel classes, loyalty programmes and policies that British Airways had, so I would highly recommend taking the time to complete the training. Whether you are a new employee, or you’ve sold British Airways for years, it’s definitely worthwhile completing it and putting into practice what you do learn or even just polishing up on some of the details that may have become rusty.

Currently there is one level offered, with more coming soon. At the end of each programme you will be awarded with the British Airways Training Academy badge and receive a certificate which could be your chance of winning a prize!
