British Airways are keen to welcome your customers back with safety at the heart of their journey. Travellers may notice some differences to the travel experience as the airline has implemented a raft of protective measures to keep everybody safe, both on the ground and in the air.

Below are some of the key details your customers should be aware of.

Travellers in First, Club World and Club Europe and eligible Executive Club members may notice that not all British Airways lounges are currently open.

Lounges will be reopening in phases throughout July, beginning with the First and Arrivals lounges at Heathrow Terminal 5. Read more about lounge safety measures >

All British Airways aircraft are fitted with HEPA filters which refresh the cabin air every 2-3 minutes, removing over 99.9% of germs and viruses.

Key surfaces are disinfected after each flight with a full clean every day. A personal pack of hand sanitiser and an antibacterial towel is also offered to each traveller.

British Airways are offering complimentary pre-prepared meal boxes to customers in all cabins in order to minimise contact with cabin crew.

Special meals are currently unavailable so please advise your customers with dietary requirements to bring their own food and snacks for the flight.

 

 

British Airways passengers must also abide by some new measures to help protect the health of everyone travelling. They include:

  • Not travelling if they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 in the last seven days
  • Checking in online, then downloading and self-scanning their boarding pass
  • Researching their arrival destination in good time to ensure any actions (such as COVID-19 testing or local Passenger Locator forms) can be taken at the necessary time
  • Wearing face masks at all times throughout the journey
  • Observing safe social distancing measures at the airport and during boarding
  • Minimising movements around the cabin onboard
  • Submitting a completed Public Heath Passenger Locator Form within 48 hours of arriving in the UK. Supporting guidelines can be found here
