Destination information

British Airway year-round service departs from London Gatwick and London Heathrow, arriving in Barbados in an average of 8 hours 50 minutes.

Foodies and rum lovers should consider heading to Barbados in November when the island hosts its annual Food and Rum Festival, a mecca for Bajan cuisine.

To enjoy rum cocktails with a backdrop of reliably sunny skies and calm seas, go to Barbados during the dry season from mid-December to mid-April.

If you’re on a budget, look for deals outside of these times when temperatures are still warm, and rain showers are usually brief and followed by sunshine.

Once you touch down in Barbados, your clients will land at Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI), located on the south-east coast of the island – 13km from Bridgetown and a 30 minute drive. They can take an authorised taxi from outside the airport, easily identified by a yellow sticker, or opt for one of the hourly buses that take you straight to Bridgetown’s city centre. Or to avoid queues, you can also pre-book an airport transfer to your resort or hotel.

When in Barbados, your clients can be as busy as they want to be with the myriad of activities catering to any appetite for structure, spontaneity, and everything in between. That’s where Barbados’ festivals come in – and they’ve got plenty of those, celebrating food, beverage, agriculture, surfing, music, golf, car racing, and culture. Most of all, celebrating life!
