British Airways becomes the first airline in the UK to produce a Visual Guide to Flying

The British Airways Visual Guide is designed to help passengers prepare for their flight and make them feel as comfortable as possible during their journey. It’s been produced in partnership with Learning Rose, who develop support material for people on the autism spectrum. It’s also endorsed by the National Autism Society.

Each section of the guide describes a different part of the flying experience, using simple icons and text to describe the sights, sounds and smells passengers can expect. It’s designed for autistic passengers but can also support those who have a fear of flying, or anyone who’s looking for support and reassurance.
