Read all about Anne’s trip to the Moroccan coastal city of Agadir, where she experienced flying with British Airways after winning flights at the British Airways Showcase Day 2025.

Our journey to Agadir for some much-needed winter sun began with a trip south to London Gatwick - an exciting first for me, as I had never flown from the airport before. Parking was simple and convenient, followed by a short, easy stroll to the terminal.

We were especially impressed by how smooth the process was; from bag drop to reaching airside took just 10 minutes - one of the many perks of flying from London Gatwick!

After a quick trip to duty free and a drink to get into the usual pre-holiday spirit, we boarded the aircraft. Once on board, we settled into our World Traveller seats, enjoyed a smooth take-off, caught some rest, and before we knew it, we had arrived in Agadir.

Once we arrived in Agadir, we headed to our hotel, checked in, enjoyed lunch, and sampled the beer and wine - we are on holiday, after all! We used the afternoon to book a spa treatment and plan our dinners, choosing from four restaurants to help get us into the Moroccan mood.

On our second day, we treated ourselves to a trip to the spa before venturing out to explore the area. We enjoyed a 30-minute train ride, soaking up the local sights under the winter sun, before returning to the hotel to spend the rest of the week lounging on the sunbeds with a good book in hand.

Afternoons were spent unwinding in the sunshine, accompanied by beers and cocktails!

After what felt like the quickest week enjoying the sunshine, it was time to head home!

Check-in and security at Agadir airport were super quick, and soon we were settled and ready to board. After another smooth journey with British Airways, we arrived back at London Gatwick and were back at the car within just 45 minutes.

Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing break in a new destination - and a fantastic flying experience!
