British Airways is adding festive cheer to its winter schedule with new flights to Lapland, Santa Claus’s home region. Starting 3 December 2024, British Airways will offer twice-weekly flights from London Gatwick to Ivalo, Finland’s northernmost airport. Ivalo, located within the Arctic Circle, is a gateway to Saariselkä, known for winter sports and northern lights views.
Operated by BA Euroflyer, the flights allow passengers to bring skiing or snowboarding equipment within specific size limits.
Additionally, BA Euroflyer will launch daily* flights to Larnaca, Cyprus, starting 4 November 2024, from London Gatwick, offering a winter sun option. Larnaca will be served from both London Heathrow and Gatwick, providing more departure choices.
Ivalo and Larnaca join the newly announced winter route to Tromsø, Norway, making British Airways' winter offerings more diverse and appealing.
