British Airways will launch its first-ever flight to Tromsø, Norway, this winter. Beginning 1 December 2024, Tromsø will be the airline's northernmost destination globally and is now available for booking.
Tromsø is famed for being one of the best places to see the aurora borealis due to its location in the northern lights’ oval. With average winter temperatures between 0°C and -5°C, the city's heavy snowfall supports activities like skiing, mountaineering, and whale watching.
Located within the Arctic Circle, Tromsø is also popular for its Christmas markets, with the most picturesque market and tree found in the main square, Stortorget.
Return flights are available now and will operate twice a week until 27 March 2025. Your clients can bring skiing or snowboarding equipment as part of their checked baggage if the bag fits within 190 x 75 x 65cm.
