British Airways expands Italian horizons with three new routes for Summer 2025

British Airways is strengthening its love of Italy, unveiling three new routes set to launch in May 2025. The additions include Rimini on the Adriatic Coast, Salerno near the Amalfi Coast, and an extra service to Olbia in Sardinia, further cementing Italy as the airline’s most-served European destination.

The new routes bring the total number of Italian destinations in British Airways’ network to 19, more than in any other European country.

Starting 15 May 2025, British Airways will operate three weekly flights from London Heathrow to Rimini, a vibrant city known for its golden beaches, ancient history, and lively nightlife. Visitors can explore iconic landmarks like the Arch of Augustus and Tiberius Bridge or take a short trip to the UNESCO-listed Republic of San Marino.

From 22 May 2025, British Airways Euroflyer will introduce three weekly flights from London Gatwick to Salerno, an emerging hub for exploring the Amalfi Coast. British Airways’ presence in Sardinia grows with a new service from London City to Olbia, starting 25 May 2025. Initially operating once a week, the service will increase to twice weekly from 16 July 2025.
