At the start of October, we hosted the annual British Airways Showcase day for 2025 - and what a great day it was! The day was filled with networking, workshops, prize giveaways, and lots more.
All of this took place against the iconic backdrop of the Concorde’s wings - a very fitting setting!
The morning began with a welcome from our Chief Commercial Officer, Matt Darlington, followed by an ice breaker where three lucky agents each won a bottle of Whispering Angel - the very same rosé served onboard British Airways flights.
Agents then spent the morning exploring the expos, featuring partners including Lime Flights, Lime Groups, TIG Tech, Manchester Airport, Aer Lingus, British Airways, Czech Tourism, Visit Houston, Visit Seattle, Huntington Beach, ENIT SPA and Visit Yosemite.
Following the morning sessions, guests enjoyed a two-course lunch, kindly sponsored by Manchester Airport, accompanied by a glass of wine of Whispering Angel, sponsored by Czech Tourism.
Throughout the day, guests also had the opportunity to try their hand in the British Airway's flight simulator, supported by 10 British Airways pilots!
Next on the agenda were the breakout sessions. Agents enjoyed a guided tour of Concorde, which finished with a photo opportunity in the cockpit.
They also attended a talk with our Managing Director, Mike Edwards, and Captain Les Brodie, who served as First Officer and later as Captain on Concorde between 1989 and 2003.
In addition, Mark Wigmore and Reshma McGill from British Airways hosted insightful sessions.
The day concluded with a prize giveaway, with some incredible prizes. These included a pair of British Airways World Traveller flights to Los Angeles, with accommodation, e-bike hire in Huntington Beach, and $250 spending money.
Another lucky winner won a pair of Aer Lingus flights from Manchester to New York JFK, whilst another won British Airways Euro Traveller flights to a European destination of their choice. Another prize included FastTrack passes, lounge access, and parking for two at Manchester Airport - plus many more!
