IATA 830D regulations

IATA Resolution 830D ensures the systematic inclusion of contact details in Passenger Name Records (PNRs) to facilitate effective communication during flight disruptions.

Should the airline make changes within 48 hours of departure, they are obliged to notify the emergency contact listed in the booking. Consequently, passengers may receive notifications before travel agents, as they have direct access to manage their bookings through the airline's 'manage my booking' page.

Agents are reminded to update emergency contact details directly on the airline's website, as this cannot be done via the Lime website. Whether the emergency contact is the agency or the passengers themselves is at the agent's discretion. However, if agency details are provided, they must be monitored continuously to ensure timely response to any changes.
