Read all about J'sade's trip to Tobago as part of a recent Lime booking incentive, where he won British Airways flights plus 7 night's accommodation in this special Caribbean island!
From the moment we arrived at the British Airways check-in line, the process was easy and smooth, and the customer service was superb - kickstarting the experience on the best note!
I took my mum on this trip to celebrate her 60th birthday. To make it even more special, I purchased access to the Clubrooms at London Gatwick, where we started the morning with a full English breakfast and a glass (or a few) of Bucks Fizz!
Later, we boarded the aircraft, where we were kindly greeted by the cabin crew and settled into our assigned seats. The flight was very comfortable, the food was nice, and they didn’t hold back on their drinks service - an enjoyable flight overall!
Upon landing in Tobago, we enjoyed a short drive to our first hotel, taking in the surroundings filled with lush greenery, beautiful plants, and vibrant flowers. What was really impressive was the Tropikist Beach Hotel, located in such a stunning setting - we consider it one of the best hotels we've stayed in!
What made it so special was that it was family-run - you really felt the warmth and love in everything they did.
The next hotel we stayed at was the Coco Reef, which boasts a well-kept swimming pool, a beautiful bar, and a restaurant, where all the staff were very helpful and hospitable!

Whilst there, we took a boat trip to the famous Nylon Pool, a natural, metre-deep swimming pool in the middle of the sea. The water was amazingly soft on the skin - a wonderful experience!
We also spent a day driving around the island, which was a great way to soak up the scenery. On this trip, we visited stingrays, Castara Bay, and Englishman’s Bay, to name a few. We stopped in the capital, Scarborough, and took a lovely picture by the “I Love Tobago” sign.

We also visited a lady who had hummingbirds that came to her garden. She would call them, and they would come, perch on us, and drink from the little bottle she placed in our hands. Little touches like that make the island so unique!
From the beautiful scenery and delicious culinary selections to the welcoming, friendly staff at both hotels, the variety of water and land activities, the weather, the beaches, and that Caribbean laid-back atmosphere, there are countless reasons why visiting Tobago is a must!
