Lunar New Year Menu

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with British Airways as they usher in the Year of the Dragon with special treats both in-flight and on the ground. Passengers flying between London and Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore will be treated to delightful festive menus featuring traditional dishes symbolising luck and prosperity.

In First class, indulge in a black pepper spiced fillet of beef with Chinese seven spiced broccolini, while Club World passengers can savour the flavours of spicy Kung Pao prawns, a dish steeped in Imperial history. Both classes can cap off their meal with a delectable white chocolate tangerine mousse, symbolising wealth and good fortune.

For those in World Traveller Plus and World Traveller, enjoy the comforting flavours of Lion’s Head meatballs, a traditional Huaiyang dish representing family unity and togetherness.

Adding to the festivities, customers passing through London Heathrow Terminal 5 will receive symbolic red envelopes containing chocolate coins, accompanied by lively lion dance performances.

And for a lucky few London-bound travellers, British Airways' customer service teams will surprise select passengers born in the Year of the Dragon with upgrades to Club World and access to exclusive lounges, spreading holiday cheer and making their journey truly unforgettable. Calum Laming, British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, extends warm wishes for a Happy Year of the Dragon to all celebrating this joyous occasion.
