From the moment we boarded our British Airways flight, everything ran smoothly. Check-in was quick and easy, the journey was seamless from start to finish, and the cabin crew couldn't have been more welcoming. It was the perfect start to a memorable holiday.
Adventure in the rainforest
If you're looking for more than just beaches, St Kitts certainly delivers.
One of the biggest highlights of our trip was trekking through the rainforest towards the island's volcano. The tropical heat and humidity made it a challenging climb, but reaching the top made every step worthwhile. Standing above the rainforest, taking in the incredible views, was a moment we'll never forget.
There were plenty of memorable moments along the way too. My nine-year-old son even got to swing on a jungle vine, something he's still talking about months later.
As if that wasn't enough excitement, we also spent a day zip-lining through the rainforest canopy, soaring around 80 metres above the forest floor. It was exhilarating and gave us a completely different perspective of the island's stunning landscape.
Discovering Nevis
No visit to St Kitts would be complete without taking the short catamaran trip across to Nevis.
The crossing itself was enjoyable, but it was Nevis that really stole our hearts. The island has an effortlessly relaxed atmosphere, with pristine beaches, crystal-clear water and a slower pace of life that makes it incredibly easy to unwind. It truly feels like a slice of paradise.
Back on St Kitts, we made it our mission to explore as many beaches as possible along the southern Caribbean coast. Each one had its own character, but Cockleshell Beach was our clear favourite. Soft sand, calm turquoise water and spectacular views across to Nevis made it somewhere we could happily spend an entire day.
A true taste of the Caribbean
Sometimes it's the simple things that make the biggest impression.
Fresh coconut water straight from the shell and perfectly ripe mangoes became a daily treat. The flavour was incredible and nothing like the fruit we normally buy in European supermarkets. It's these authentic local experiences that really make a destination special.
Easy to explore
One thing we really appreciated was how straightforward it was to get around the island.
Taxi fares are fixed in advance, so there's no need to negotiate prices or worry about unexpected costs. It made travelling between attractions simple and stress-free, allowing us to focus on enjoying every moment.
Throughout our stay we also felt incredibly safe, adding to the relaxed atmosphere that makes St Kitts & Nevis such an easy destination to enjoy.

Every excursion we booked exceeded our expectations, from rainforest adventures to sailing between islands and discovering some of the Caribbean's most beautiful beaches.
St Kitts & Nevis offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, making it an ideal destination whether you're travelling as a couple, with friends or as a family.
We returned home feeling completely refreshed, with unforgettable memories and one certainty: St Kitts & Nevis has earned a permanent place on our list of favourite destinations.
