What does your role involve?

With over nine years’ experience within the groups department at Lime. I have become somewhat of a “Groups Specialist” and my role now consists of mentoring our current sales team, driving new business and creating strong partnerships with our agents. 

What made you want to work in travel?

After studying Leisure and Tourism in college I then moved on to work for a loyalty scheme travel company for six years. In this company I gained invaluable travel knowledge and a newfound love of travel allowing me to fly all over the world..

Tell us a fun fact about yourself

Once I offered an agent a Fam trip to  “Azkaban” rather then “Azerbaijan”- hopefully they were a Harry Potter fan!

 

 

Sophie Thomas
Groups UK Manager

What does your role involve?

I ensure that service standards are met and drive the highest levels of customer service in both the Groups sales and operations teams.

What made you want to work in travel?

I found a Travel and Tourism course at college and as soon as I walked into the classroom I fell in love. Half of it was a classroom but the other was an aircraft, with aircraft seats and even a trolley. From that moment I knew that travel was my future.

At work I'm known for my break dancing skills!

 

 

Kim Shearer
Groups Operations Team Leader

What does your role involve?

My main responsibilities include the daily running of the Groups team, making sure all areas of the work are covered and to ensure the best customer service is delivered to our agents.

What made you want to work in travel?

After travelling on family holidays from an early age I got the travel bug and decided to join the travel industry in 1999 on an apprenticeship course. And as they say, the rest is history!

I’m known for my clumsiness at home. My kids instantly cringe if I say I’ll try something new as they know it won’t end well!

What does your role involve?

I manage and motivate the Groups team to help our performance stay aligned with company goals and achieve the high service standards that meet our company values.

What made you want to work in travel?

I've always been an adventurous person: both my parents come from a travel background so I feel travel is in my DNA! Combined with my love for sales and networking, I've found a great career that I love at Lime.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself

In my previous job as British Airways Cabin Crew, I was lucky enough to travel to some incredible places! However my most amazing travel experience was teaching English to children for 12 months in Thailand.
