British Airways is marking 90 years of service between the UK and Hong Kong, celebrating one of the airline's longest-standing and most significant international routes.
The milestone highlights a remarkable journey that began in 1936, when a pioneering flight carried just one passenger alongside mail between the UK and Hong Kong. Over the past nine decades, the route has grown into a vital air bridge connecting Europe and Asia, serving millions of business and leisure travellers while playing an important role in international trade and tourism.
Today, British Airways operates a daily Airbus A350 service on the route, offering customers the airline's latest Club Suite in Business Class. Designed with enhanced privacy, greater comfort, and premium amenities, Club Suite reflects the airline's continued investment in delivering a modern long-haul travel experience.
The 90th anniversary not only celebrates the airline's rich heritage but also reinforces British Airways' long-term commitment to connecting the UK with Hong Kong. As one of its most historic routes, the service remains a cornerstone of the airline's global network, linking cultures, businesses, and communities across two continents.
